HOW THE COLOUR-CHANGING MOLECULE WORKS:
this ingredient changes colour when exposed to changes in pH and moisture levels. Some colourants act as pH and moisture indicators, as these compounds are able to change their colour in the presence of a particular pH. The colourants in a pH-reactive make-up product are usually prepared at a neutral or slightly acidic pH, which makes them colourless. Once the product is applied, this molecule interacts with the base components of the cells and produces colour in response to their amount and the skin's moisture level. When they mix, a rosy stain is left.
