Description
Corn cutter with plastic handle, lightweight and ergonomic, for targeted, controlled removal of calluses and localised thickenings during pedicure. The dedicated blade allows precise work without affecting the surrounding skin, even in less accessible areas of the foot. To be used on softened skin with light, progressive passes, reserved for trained staff. Replacement blades available.
The corn cutter with plastic handle is an essential tool in every pedicure professional's kit, designed for targeted, controlled removal of calluses and localised skin thickenings. The lightweight handle ensures a stable grip during treatments that require precision of movement.
- Plastic handle: lightweight and durable, reduces hand fatigue during repeated use throughout the day
- Blade dedicated to cutting calluses: allows targeted work on localised areas without affecting the surrounding skin
- Handy design: makes the movement easier to control, even in less accessible areas of the foot
Directions for use: use the tool on skin that has been softened beforehand, for example after a foot bath, proceeding with light, progressive passes until the excess callous layer is removed, never reaching the healthy skin underneath.
Expert advice: the corn cutter should always be used with extreme caution and only by trained staff: removing the callus too aggressively can expose the underlying skin and cause discomfort or small lesions. If in doubt about deep thickenings, a gradual treatment over several sessions is preferable. In the Manicure, Pedicure and Tools section you will also find compatible replacement blades.
Frequently asked questions
Is the corn cutter safe to use on diabetic clients?
Extreme caution is required on the skin of diabetic clients or those with circulation problems: the risk of micro-lesions that are slow to heal is higher, so a more conservative approach or referral to a podiatrist is advisable.
Are the blades replaceable or does the whole tool need to be changed?
Many models with a plastic handle have replaceable blades; check that the blade is compatible with your model before buying replacements, to ensure an effective and safe cut at all times.
How deep is it safe to work with this tool?
The general rule is to work only on the thickened layer of skin, never reaching the pink skin underneath; if in doubt, it is better to stop earlier and finish the work with a gentler rasp.
